 A new year has arrived and  the "Corvettes of Elk  Grove"  are still traveling at full speed! We really appreciate any and  all donations toward helping the children and families of our great community.

Thanksgiving Dinners

The "Corvettes of Elk Grove"(COE) want to thank WalMart for their donation of turkeys which will enable us to feed around 150 homeless people for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanks Jorge for your support and faith in us.

Martin Luther King Jr. Parade - 2018

August 2018

The COE is honored to send 20 cell phones to assist children in Africa. The request came from a teacher in Rwonda. The cell phones are going to families who have never before had a phone. 

January 2018

The COE and Friends, sends out a sincere thank you to the "Just for Corvettes Club," Bay Valley for Life" and everyone who came outS to the 37th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade ride. Your participation helped to make this event successful.

A special thanks to Ken, Chapter Leader of the Buffalo Soldiers for their assistance with traffic control. We would also like to thank the Sacramento Police Department for walking with the marchers and their assistance in keeping things orderly and with traffic control as well. We know we can always depend on you.

Thank you Sam Starks, parade coordinator, for allowing us to participate and lead this great event. Everyone had a great time at the parade and contunied the fun with lunch at the Golden Corral afterwards.

Christmas

The COE, donated Christmas toys to the Genesis Church's Christmas toy drive this year.

We also donated Christmas toys to needy families living our community. We could not have done this without the support of our sponsors!!!

The COE, want to thank everyone for supporting us once again in the 36th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade ride. It was one hundred percent successful. The beautiful corvettes were definitely a croud pleaser.

Our warmest appreciation is extended to all of our Corvette Family who participated. A special thanks to the parade coordinator, Rory Kaufman and those who assisted him, for making this special event possible. We would also like to thank the Sacramento Police Department for walking with the marchers and their assistance in keeping things under control.  Directly following the parade, everyone met at the Golden Corral Buffet for a meeting and a delicious lunch, compliments of Lou.

Thanksgiving Dinners

The COE and Friends would like to thank everyone who gave toward this years' Thanksgiving Dinner boxes. We delivered 65 dinners to the Sam and Bonnie Pannell Community Center" this November to distribute to needy families, and 10 to the community. Thank you for your continued support.

Martin Luther King Jr. Parade - 2016

The COE, want to thank everyone for supporting us once again in the 35th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade ride. It was one hundred percent successful.

Our warmest appreciation is extended to all club members who participated in the ride as follows: Joe and Sue, Gil and  Vi , Rosevelt and Delery, Sidney and Simone, Richard, Dan, Don, and Cirillo, Martin, Fred, Larry, Mona and Pam, Ella, Jesse, and Derrick. Thank you Verna for attending our meeting. If I omitted anyone's name who participated in the ride, I apologize. You are appreciated as well. This wonderful experience happened because of you!!!

The Bay Valley Corvette Club Toy Drive 

The "Bay Valley for Life Corvette Club" held its first annual toy drive at the "Sam and Bonnie Pannell Community Center" on December 12. The "Corvettes of Elk Grove" (COE) and Friends" would like to thank Bay Valley Corvette Club and Diane, with the ladies from the Department of Corrections for inviting us to participate in their event. We felt priviledged to donate toys as well as pies toward this wonderful event.  We are  honored to have pictures taken with Senator Richard Pan, who helped host the event. Thanksgiving Dinners

The COE and Friends would like to thank everyone who gave toward this years' Thanksgiving Dinner boxes. Because of your help, we delivered 45 dinners to the Sam and Bonnie Pannell Community Center" this November to distribute to needy families. Thank you for your continued support.

SacPAL Annual "Gone Fishin' Derby" 

The COE and Friends are honored to have supported the "Sacramento Police   Activities League" ("SacPAL"), with their Annual "Gone Fishin' Derby" at the Granite Regional Park.  Watching the children catch their first fish was a blast!! Donating pies to underpriviledged children from various communites was an honor. Thank you "SacPal" and "Burruss & Associates"  for inviting us.

School Backpacks 

The COE and all recipients of the school backpacks sincerely thank you for your contributions. Thank you WalMart  Store # 5848 in Elk Grove, Managers Jorge Sabido and Stacy Spencer for your generous donations. Thank you WalMart Store # 1697 in Elk Grove, Manager Joshua Boeckholt for your gift card donation to purchase school supplies for our school backpacks. Thanks also to Kelly Fong of the Wells Fargo Bank, Belair Market, Metro PCS, and all of our regular sponsors.

We were honored to donate a total of 45 backpacks to the Samuel and Bonnie Pannell Community Center in Sacramento and also needy kids in Stockton.

Your gifts helped us supply 60 students with school backpacks filled with supplies for the up-coming school term. We could not give these wonderful gifts without people like you who care for our youth.

Thanksgiving Dinners

The "COE" assisted the Oak Park Community Center with Thanksgiving Day Dinners boxes for our seniors and needy families. This year we gave out a total of 70 dinners. Forty dinners went to Oak Park, 5 to Gregory Briscoe's church, 5 to Sylvia Moore's church, 5 to Lou Moore for needy families, 10 to Little Treasures Pre-School,Sacramento, and 5 to the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church. It is always heart warming to see the joy on the recipients' faces when they pick up their boxes with turkey and all the trimmings.

Thank you WalMart, Store # 2735 in Sacramento, Manager, Silvio Garbarino; WalMart, Store # 5848 in Elk Grove, Managers, Jorge Sabido and Stacy Spencer; BelAir Market, Store #516, Manager, Tommy Hall; and Mike Grill of Elk Grove. A warm thank you of course, to our sponsors who support us throughout the year for your generous contributions. Your combined efforts made this Thanksgiving a joyous experience to those 70 families.

School Backpacks 

The "COE", The Oak Park Community Center and all recipients of the school backpacks sincerely thank you for your contributions. Phanton Fireworks Fundraiser

 The "COE"  would like to thank everyone who came out to support our fireworks fundraiser. Everyone who worked in the fireworks stand, those who brought water and ice, and those who shared their cars. Thanks to Rafael, Melvin, Don, Lyn, Regan, Otis, Charles, Richard, Roosevelt and Delerry. Special thanks to Greg Estrada for the life saving camper he has shared with us for the past years. Finally, thanks to all those who came out in the heat to purchase fireworks from us.

1st Choice Realty Fundraiser 

The "COE" and "Friends" attended the 1st Choice Realty fundraiser sponsored by Sue Gerber. We had the pleasure of viewing a variety of pretty cars and eating good food. The proceeds went to  the SPCA. The fundraiser went so well, we will do it again on Saturday, April 12. See you there.

Hooters Car Show Fundraiser

The "COE" and "Friends" had a great time at the Hooters Car Show fundraiser at Arden on Saturday, Apil 7. There  were lots of beautiful cars of course. The proceeds went to the Sacramento Food Bank. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade - 2014

Once again, we are proud to say that the MLK Jr. Parade was a big success. The "Corvettes of Elk Grove non-profit Foundation," and "Friends" sincerely thank every one who supported us in this historical event. The participants met at the usual spot "The Golden Corral" for lunch. A small thank you to all for taking time to show appreciation for such a great man as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  A special thanks to our parade coordinator, Tom Burruss, for making everything possible.

Thanksgiving Dinners 

 The "Corvettes of Elk Grove and Friends," and the families from the Oak Park Community Center extend their warmest thank you to everyone who contributed to the Thanksgiving Dinner boxes. A total of 65 dinners were given out. We delivered 40 dinners to the Oak Park Community Center. The remaining dinners were given to Sidney, Richard, and Rafael who distributed to needy families; to Gregory Briscoe's church; and Sylvia Moore's church.

Thank you WalMart Store #1697, and WalMart Store #5848 in Elk Grove, for your gift card donations.  Thanks to everyone who helped deliver these well appreciated dinners.

Vettes for Vets

"Corvettes of Elk Grove" would like to thank everyone who came out to help the "Just For Corvettes" with the veterans corvette show. Over 275 cars participated in the event. That in itself showed your great appreciation for the veterans who have served our country.

School Backpacks 

 Thank you WalMart, Store # 5848 in Elk Grove, for your gift card donation. This gift was used to purchase school supplies for our school backpacks. Special thanks go out to your store employees Randy, Lou, and Michael for taking time to help us gather the school products for purchase. Thank you Jorge and Stacy for helping us help our community youth.

Phanton Fireworks Fundraiser

Our sincere thanks to the "Corvettes of Elk Grove" and "Just for Corvettes" members who  came out to support the fireworks fundraiser. Greg Estrada came through once again for us with his camper, which eliminates the chore of loading and unloading the products for seven days. Whew!. Thank you Greg! We appreciate members and friends who helped out in the fireworks stand.  We couldn't have survived without the ice and water on the triple digit days. All those "goodies" got us moving each morning.  Special thanks go out to Rafael, Sidney, Willie, Dan, Melvin, Lee, Lyn, Lewis, Lou Jr., and Richard, for their support. Thank you Earl Sallie for bringing your future NBA Star son, "Roburt Sallie," out to support us. Thank you Roburt for allowing the kids to take pictures in your beautiful vehicle, the 2013 TESLA. The proceeds from the fireworks stand will be used to purchase items for at least 60 complete Thanksgiving dinners , 60 school back-packs filled with supplies, and toys for Christmas. Finally, thanks to all those who came out in the heat to purchase fireworks from us. 

Everyone working together produced another successful event!

7th Annual Hooters All Corvette Car Show

On behalf of  "Just for Corvettes"and "Corvettes of Elk Grove non-profit," we would like to thank  Melvin Clouser for the honor of supporting him with his "Make A Wish Foundation" project and allowing  "Corvettes of Elk Grove non-profit" to sell pies for our "Back to School Backpacks" project.
