MLK JR. Parade 2011
Martin Luther King Jr. on January 17, 2011.
The 30th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade was a great success. We were honored to escort Grand Marshall, Wendel Elchols. He was the first President of Sacramento for "The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" (NAACP).
On behalf of the "Corvettes of Elk Grove non-profit Foundation," we would like to thank the "Just for Corvettes" Club for supporting us in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade Ride. It was 300 percent successful. The corvettes added beauty as-well-as style to the parade.
Our warmest appreciation is extended to all club members who participated in the ride. A special thank you to Ken, Kevin and Leon of Stockton, CA. A special thanks to the parade coordinator, Tom Burruss, for making this special event possible.
We would also like to thank the Sacramento Police Department and the City Highway Patrol for their assistance in keeping things orderly.
After the parade, everyone assembled at the Golden Corral Buffet for a meeting and a delicious lunch.
